2015 May 7

Adriana Greidanus of Granum, Alberta, Canada, participated in the Dordt College Ideafest. Greidanus is a senior majoring in Secondary Education, Science Education, and Chemistry. She also has minors in the Kuyper Scholars Program and Middle School Classroom. She presented "Factory Model Schools."

Ideafest is an afternoon celebration of academic achievement filled with presentations, art projects, artistic performances, and documentary films all researched and created by Dordt students.

More than 160 students gave presentations during the annual festival. Presentations are 15 minutes each. Students also displayed poster presentations that visitors could view and talk with students about.

"In an academic community like Dordt College, where students and faculty are constantly wrestling with ideas and dreaming up dreams both big and small, it's so important to have a venue where those ideas can be shared," says Mark Volkers, professor of digital media production, who often has students present films they've made in his classes.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition.
