Ariel Gomes leads worship for Dordt College

Ariel Gomes is one of 30 students selected to lead worship on Dordt College's campus this year. Gomes is a junior studying Art with an emphasis in Prearchitectural Design and Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. He also has a minor in Worship Arts. He plays the bass guitar for the Chapel team.

There are five different ministries teams for Dordt College this school year. A team for Chapel (Wednesdays), GIFT (Sundays), Praise and Worship (Thursdays), and the Traveling Praise Team (performing at churches on Sunday mornings).

Each team consists of five to eight members, with one or two student leaders. Team leaders run rehearsals and make decisions about song choice and song arrangements. Teams typically include acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, auxiliary, and vocals.
