Ashley Huizinga of Marne, Michigan, is participating in a Dordt College off-campus study program this semester. Huizinga is a senior majoring in English with an emphasis in Writing. She also has minors in Kuyper Scholars Program and Dutch.

Huizinga will spend the semester experiencing the rich cultures and new environments, while living and learning on the off-campus SPICE (Study Program in Contemporary Europe) program.

Dordt College has more than 20 off-campus study programs available to students. These programs reach to South Korea, Chicago, the Netherlands, and more.

Several programs also offer an internship component, so that the students can gain work experience and focus their career goals. Dordt graduates have even landed jobs through their off-campus program internships. Some programs feature Christian service opportunities, which many participants say is a life-changing experience and a highlight of their college career.
