Dordt College names Sara de Waal a worship ensemble member

Sara de Waal of Sioux Center, Iowa, was selected as a member of Dordt College's Praise and Worship ensemble. de Waal will serve as a leader and play piano for the group that leads students in a time of singing, prayer, and scripture reading on Thursday nights. She is a senior majoring in elementary education. She also has a minor in art. This is her third year with the group.

At Dordt College students are encouraged to think, question, and prepare for their calling in God’s world. This focus is evident in the classroom and is supported by a variety of campus ministry and outreach programs. Several structured worship leadership opportunities are available at Dordt College including GIFT (Growing In Faith Together), chapel, Praise and Worship, Wellspring, and traveling worship. These teams help the audience enter in the Lord’s presence for a time of worship.
