Haeley Dirksen Joins Dordt College Choir

Haeley Dirksen of Sioux Falls, S.D., joins the Dordt College Chorale. Dirksen is a sophomore majoring in Social Work.

Choral Director Dr. Benjamin Kornelis says he is looking forward to another great year with the choirs. "The students in our choirs are hard-working singers who dedicate themselves to the highest performance level possible of excellent choral literature," said Kornelis.

Dordt College offers four choral ensembles for students to participate in each semester, including Kantorei, Concert Choir, Chorale, and Women's Chorus. Each year, nearly 300 students take lessons, attend music classes, and play or sing in ensembles. Dordt College sees music as an important and enjoyable part of our response to God and his creation, a vibrant part of the Christian life.
