Jeremy Engbers tours with Dordt College traveling worship group

Dordt College is taking its worship team on the road. This summer five Dordt musicians with a passion for leading praise and worship make up the group called The New City.

Jeremy Engbers of Pella, Iowa, plays bass guitar, acoustic guitar, synthesizer, and provides vocals. Engbers is a senior who is majoring in theology with an emphasis in biblical studies. He also has minors in communication and worship arts.

This is the college’s first traveling praise team. “This is a great development for our growing worship arts program, and we are very excited about this pilot project, as well as the talent and character of the students selected,” said Dordt College Dean of Chapel Aaron Baart.

The group is performing and worshiping in churches, camps, youth groups, retreats, and other community events.
