Joel Ysselstein Elected an Office Bearer at Dordt College

Joel Ysselstein of Rock Valley, Iowa, was elected to the office of financial officer with the Dordt College Student Symposium. The responsibilities of this role include constructing a budget, giving advice about the financial feasability of proposals, and preparing detailed feasibilty studies. The financial officer is expected to show financial aptitude, a stewardly character, and have good organizational skills. Ysselstein is a sophomore majoring in business administration.

The Student Symposium facilitates a clear passage of information between students and the college's faculty, staff, and administration in order to promote positive communication and interaction among all groups. Symposium also serves as the financial board for student clubs by organizing and processing funding requests and distributing funds.
