Joshua Pearson of Grove City, Minn., Tours with Dordt College Concert Choir

Joshua Pearson of Grove City, Minn., is spending spring break on a five-state music tour with the Dordt College Concert Choir. Pearson is a senior majoring in engineering.

Performances will be held in Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. The choir will perform a variety of pieces including Charles Hubert Hastings Parry's "I Was Glad," Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The Old Hundredth Psalm Tune," and Beethoven's "Hallelujah" from The Mount of Olives. The 50-person choir will perform under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Kornelis.

Dordt College has approximately 300 U.S. and international students who participate in the music program, with opportunities to perform in four choral groups, two orchestras, and three bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
