Kathryn Wilson tours with Dordt College Chamber Orchestra and Concert Band

Kathryn Wilson of Mason City, Iowa, is embarking on a spring music tour with the Dordt College Chamber Orchestra and Concert Band during the school's spring break. Wilson is a junior majoring in K-12 education and choral/instrumental music education. Wilson performs in the Chamber Orchestra and Concert Band, and she plays clarinet.

This free concert is part of a spring tour with performances scheduled in Arizona, California, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Directed by Dr. Bradley Miedema, the ensembles will perform works by George Frederic Handel, Percy Grainger, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Eric Whitacre, and more. The concert is free, with a freewill offering received to help defray tour expenses.

Dordt College has approximately 300 U.S. and international students who participate in the music program, with opportunities to perform in four choral groups, two orchestras, and three bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
