Lucas Simonson participated in the American College Theater Festival Design Expo.

Lucas Simonson of Zumbrota, Minnesota brought their Sound Design from Dordt's production of Fools to the American College Theater Festival Region 5 (ACTF5) Design Expo. Simonson is a senior majoring in Digital Media Production and Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Acting and Directing.

ACTF5 is a full week of competitions, workshops, and performances hosted in Des Moines this year. Region 5 includes all schools from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas. Students from the graduate and undergraduate level compete in the Irene Ryan acting competition, the Design Expo, original playwriting, Stage Crew Showdown, and more.
