Micah Wamala to Tour With Dordt College Band and Orchestra

Micah Wamala of Rock Valley, Iowa, will spend the spring break on a music tour with the Dordt College Concert Band and Concert Orchestra. He is part of the Concert Band. Wamala is a sophomore majoring in criminal justice.

The tour will perform in South Dakota, Montana, Alberta, Washington state, Idaho, and Colorado.

The two instrumental groups will perform a variety of pieces under the direction of Bradley Miedema. The band will perform works by Gustav Holst, Johann Sebastian Bach, Adam Gorb, and more. The orchestra will perform pieces by William Boyce, William Walton, Norman Dello Joio, and more.

Dordt College has approximately 300 U.S. and international students who participate in the music program, with opportunities to perform in four choral groups, two orchestras, and three bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
