Mick To Attend Dordt College

Joshua Mick, a graduate of Cole Valley Christian School (Idaho), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football and track programs.

Mick had 79 tackles as a junior and scored eight rushing touchdowns as a senior. He has been chosen to play in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game at linebacker and was a second-team all-conference selection as a junior and all-conference honorable mention honoree two other times. He's listed 5-11, 185 pounds and has played linebacker, safety and running back during his career.

Mick was a runner-up at the Idaho High School State Track Meet in the 800 meters and competed at the state track meet three straight years. He has a personal best of 2:01.89 in the 800 meters and 52.6 in the 400 meters. Mick was a conference champion in the 800 meters this season and helped his team to a conference title.

Joshua is the son of Joe and Robyn Mick of Meridian, Idaho. He plans to study Business Administration at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
