Rachel De Boer tours with Dordt College Concert Choir

Rachel De Boer of Sioux Center, Iowa, is embarking on a spring music tour with the Dordt College Concert Choir during the school's spring break. She is a senior majoring in K-12 education and music with an emphasis in choral music education. De Boer sings soprano.

This free concert is part of a spring tour with performances scheduled in Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Ontario.

Directed by Dr. Benjamin Kornelis, the 52-person Concert Choir will perform a variety of piece including works by Johannes Brahms, Aaron Copland, and even Dolly Parton.

Dordt College has approximately 300 U.S. and international students who participate in the music program, with opportunities to perform in four choral groups, two orchestras, and three bands. Music scholarships are available to qualified students.
