Victoria Cast of Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, is participating in a Dordt College off-campus study program for this fall semester. Cast is a junior majoring in Agriculture with an emphasis in Biotechnology. She also has a minor in Chemistry.

Cast will spend the fall semester experiencing the rich cultures, new environments, and an abundance of knowledge during their off-campus program: New Zealand Semester.

Dordt College has more than 20 off-campus study programs available to students, six of those being Dordt's own programs. These off-campus study programs reaches places such as South Korea, Chicago, and The Netherlands.

With a wide variety of options, many students take the opportunity to apply what is being taught in the classrooms of Dordt to real life situations. These cross-cultural experiences are important to a student's education, and many earn credit hours during their time off campus.

Several programs also offer an internship component, so that the students can gain work experience and focus their career goals. Some Dordt graduates have even landed jobs through their off-campus program internships. Other programs feature Christian service opportunities, which many participants report to be life-changing experiences and highlights of their college career.
